1. Overview & Scope
Peace News ("we," "us," or "our") values your trust. This Privacy Policy clarifies how our mobile application collects, utilizes, and manages information when you install and interact with the application.
Peace News is a news aggregation platform designed for regional updates in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, supporting English and Telugu language preferences.
2. Information Collection & Customization
To deliver localized news and interactive experiences, we collect specific information:
- Personalization Preferences: Your chosen language preference (English/Telugu), state preference (Andhra Pradesh/Telangana), and district preference to filter the news summaries accordingly.
- Interactive Data: Secure records of your participation in daily community polls and quiz results. This data is used to award XP points and render public aggregate poll results.
- Technical Device Info: Standard operating system details, device model name, unique identifier tags (for notification routing), and basic network settings.
3. Public News Aggregation & Content Source
Peace News aggregates snippets and titles from publicly available third-party news sources. Original publishers retain all ownership rights. We do not edit the semantic truth of aggregated sources, and we supply link routing back to the source platforms. If you are a publisher and wish to request removal of aggregated references, please contact us at the details below.
4. Data Storage & Account Deletion
Your state, district, language selections, and points are stored securely. You can clear local storage data at any time from your device system settings. If you created a registered account inside the application, you can submit a deletion request via our online portal at peacenews.in/delete-account.html. Upon request, all profile details, saved settings, and active XP trackers are permanently scrubbed within 30 days.
5. Advertising & Third-Party SDKs
We may utilize Google AdMob, Google Firebase Analytics, and similar mobile service toolsets inside the app to check stability and serve relevant advertising. These third-party tools collect identifier markers according to standard Android platform permissions.
6. Children's Privacy
Our news aggregation service is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you become aware that child data has been registered, please contact us.
